How Argument Scoring Works

Upvotes, downvotes, and side totals determine which position is winning.

Each debate has Pro and Con sides (plus Neutral contributions). Community upvotes and downvotes produce a net score per argument. Side totals are summed for a live "who is winning" indicator on the homepage and debate pages. Mediators can feature exemplary arguments and remove rule-breaking content.
